Registers still!

So on friday morning we went to Fantasia Golf. So that was a lot of fun. Then we ate at the Big River Grille. I had meatloaf but it wasn't as good as when I went there last time. Then I went off to work. When I got there is was so busy the floor was just filled with people. So I was on register all day again and it was constant lines. The shop looked as though I bomb had gone off because it was completely trashed.

Finally on saturday I had a day off. We went to Downtown disney and ate at Raglan Road which is the irish pub. I had sausage and chips but it still wasn't as good as back home. Then we got some ice cream from Ghiradelli. After that we saw Enchanted at the cinema which was brilliant and so funny. Then we got the bus to All Star Sports and got some cake before going over to Blizzard Beach WinterSummerland Golf. It's similar to Fantasia golf and was a lot of fun. Then we walked back to All Star Sports and tried to avoid the sprinklers.

So sunday was the start of another week of work. I was quite happy that I was put in the kids stock room. I was just hanging stuff but I got to sit down which was nice for a 12 hour shift. I also got to pick my breaks so I went on break and saw the christmas fireworks. They are so good I wish I could watch them every night. Then Tracy showed me how to be a runner so that hopefully I can do other stuff than just registers.

On monday I had SIMS training in the morning. This was basically showing you how to lift boxes and stuff. But I was the only one there so it was a bit weird. But at least it finished 20 mins early so I sat in the break room.

Yesterday I had Basics training in the morning which was just revision of Traditions so that was a boring 2 hours. I wasn't very happy that they moved me from stock to register again. :(

Thanksgiving week!

So last week at work I didn't get to do different things yet. But on friday we went to Seaworld which was good even though I had only 4 hours sleep. We did pretty much everything. Kraken was great and we went on it twice. We also went on Atlantis even though it was freezing cold but luckily we didn't get too wet. We also saw the whale and dolphin shows. Cheesy as usual but still good.

Then on saturday we picked our course choices for after christmas. I chose event management and international travel and tourism for my 1st and 2nd choices in the morning. Then I chose survey of wines and event managent as my 1st and 2nd choices in the afternoon. After university we went to MGM. We saw fantasmic and went on tower of terror. We also went and saw the osbourne dancing lights. They are so cool and it felt really christmassy so we picked secret santas. Then we went over to the boardwalk we got some food and then we rented one of the bikes. It was so funny but we were really tired by the end of it. It was so difficult getting over the bridges.

Work this week hasn't been as busy as I thought it would be so thats been a nice suprise. My throat was sore at the begining of the week so I was in the kids stock room hanging stuff which was nice for a change. Also you get to just hang around and talk upstairs. Yesterday I also got to learn how to do the fairy godmother in training magical moment.

Today is thanksgiving so it will probably be really busy but I hope not.

Amazing Night!

So after going to UCF on saturday we went to downtown disney and saw cirque do soleil. It was brilliant. Then we went to Magic Kingdom and got funnel cake. We saw wishes and went on lots of the kids rides like Peter Pan and the flying carpets. It was good. Then we decided to stay for the cast preview of the christmas parade. So we went to toontown which is where everyone had to wait until the park was clear. We got crisps and water for free :) but we had to wait for 2 hours and it was really cold. The parade was great though. We also got to see the castle lit up with the xmas lights. It's so beautiful and looks like it is covered in snow.

So on sunday it was back to work again. A friend of Rowena from back home came and said hello which was nice. I was also working in zone 70 which is kids and I haven't been there before so that was ok. I kept ringing Aerial who was in the kids stock room asking for her to look for sizes. Other than that nothing really happened.

Today was annoying because once again when I was scheduled for stock I wasn't doing stock. I was on the registers again :( But I spoke to Ricard about it and hopefully I will be able to do stock soon.

Saturday 10 November 2007

Emporium Hell!

Wednesday morning I went to wal mart as usual. Then got the bus to work. I was a crazy busy day and I was so annoyed to be put on registers again. So it got even worse when Fay who is a castmember who has been at the emporium since it opened was rude and was telling me what to do when I thought it was the wrong thing to do. Luckily it was my break so I stormed off before I could say something I would regret.

Thurday we played tennis in the morning which was fun but work was pretty similar. At least my direct deposit has gone through so now I don't have to pick up my paycheck each week. Andrea who is a trainer at the emporium noticed that I was really unhappy and told me that I should talk to one of the managers. So hopefully I will have the chance to do that soon.

So it was friday and that means day off again. In the morning we went to the Grand Floridian and got some food before renting a boat. It was so nice driving the boat around the lake and we had so much fun even though kirsty tried to kill us. Then we went to Epcot and attempted to drink round the world again but it didn't work. Charlotte D got drunk though which was really funny. So we went back to Vista and watched Coyote Ugly at Charlotte P's.

Today so far I have been to UCF. Theme park management was good in the morning because we got to design our own theme park. But guest service management was boring. Tonight we are going to see Cirque du Soliel so i'm really excited.

Mickey's Not So Scary Party!

On friday we went to Mickeys not so scary halloween party at the magic kingdom. I dressed up as a golfer, jayne was alice in wonderland, charlotte p was a puppet, charlotte d was a ghost and kirsty was a cowgirl. First we went to get some food at cosmic rays which wasn't good. My burger was cold. Then we went and met some of the characters dressed up in their halloween costumes. We saw alice in wonderland which was funny because jayne was dressed up as alice. Then we went to watch the parade and fireworks. We got lots of sweets from all the trick or treat stands. Then we met some more characters before going on thunder mountain since it has now reopened. After that the park was closed but we went to look at our pictures at expo hall. Unfortunately the woman there was useless and it took ages. We were almost the last people to leave.

It was UCF on saturday morning as usual. We had an exciting lunch though because we had pizza. Ok so it's not that exciting but after having turkey and cheese for 2 weeks in a row it was nice to have something different. Then in the afternoon we went to the cinema to see the nightmare before christmas in 3d. But before that we went to Bongos for dinner which was good and it was nice to have food that isn't junk. Then we saw nightmare before christmas but it wasn't very 3d so it didn't make much difference. Then I went over to Kirsty and Vicki's apartment for some wine and in the end I left really late at about 3am.

On sunday I had a 10 hour shift until 3am which wasn't good. I was tired and slightly hungover from the night before so when I got into work and I was put on registers again I was even more unhappy. Once again I was put down as stock but ended up on registers. So it was a long and boring shift and I didn't get home until 4am.

On the 5th november (bonfire night) we had breakfast at Boma in Animal Kingdom Lodge. The reservation was a 9am so we had to get the bus at 8:20am. Not many hours sleep! But breakfast was good with muffins and cossiants as well as bacon and sausages. Then me and claire got the bus back but we had to wait an hour for the bus :( The others went to animal kingdom so we should have just done that. But I got home and had a few more hours sleep before going to work. This time it was a nice 6 hour shift even though I got stuck in zone 85 on my own for the second half of my shift. But it was quite busy in for once so it wasn't too bad. It was annoying that I couldn't see the fireworks though. Also we it was time for me to go home I couldn't clock out because I was still assigned to the register. So I had to get a manager to sort it out before I could leave.

This morning is really nice and sunny. I went and got the mail and was happy to see that I finally got my cast celebration book with all the discount coupons in it :) Then we went to downtown disney to get tickets cirque du soleil on saturday. Then we went to earl of sandwich to get some lunch before getting to bus back to vista. Tonight i'm working 4:45 to 10:45 which is an ok shift but it means i'm closing which I hate.

Friday 2 November 2007

Happy Halloween!

Tuesday 30th October was another nice shift at work although once again I was on the registers. It was a halloween party and it was sold out but it still wasn't that busy.

So on wednesday it was halloween. But in the morning I went to walmart and wasn't feeling too well. When I was waiting to pay I felt really hot and then like I was going to faint. Then I was sick and then I felt really cold. It was horrible so I went home and went back to bed. When it came time to go to work I decided that I would go in but not for the whole 10 hour shift. It wasn't fun because I felt so unwell. If i'd known the number for calling in then I probably would have done that. But I got to go home at 9:30pm which was ok.

So thursday 1st november I had a late shift. In the morning I cleaned and spoke to my parents. Work was ok. I spoke to someone from cast services which is a new thing since when I was there in summer 2006. She was just talking to all the new people individually to make sure that everything is alright. I also got a certificate for passing the training which is nice. So the evening went ok and not much happened except when it came to closing some people just didn't want to leave.

Thursday 1 November 2007

Busy week!

On thursday at work I saw Jayne on the bus so we went to pick up our paychecks. Then I went to the emporium. I worked until close again but at least next week is better.

Yay for friday which was my day off. We met at the cubhouse and then went to TGI fridays at the crossroads. Then me and the charlottes walked to downtown disney. We looked round the shops and they have some lovely stuff in the art of disney but it's quite expensive. So I just bought a postcard. Then we went back to vista and then to walmart. We were looking for halloween costumes but wal mart didn't really have any nice ones. I decided to improvise and go as a golfer.

Saturday was UCF day and theme park management was quite interesting. We learnt about the early rides and rollercoasters and how unsafe they were. Then we had lunch which was pretty much the same as last week and we had pretsels again. In the afternoon guest service management was pretty boring. Then we got back to vista and went to company D in epcot to buy mickeys not so scary halloween party tickets for 2nd november. Then we ate fish and chips from the UK pavillion which was so good. Next we got the boat over the mgm. We went on the tower of terror and then headed back because it was raining. We waited for nearly 45 minutes for the bus which was annoying but there was an accident on one of the roads.

So it was back to work again on sunday 28th but with a nice early shift. I saw Jena on the bus which was nice because I worked with her at glow. Although she was only visiting for the weekend she said that she would be back in december. Work was good although it is a lot quieter in the emporium during the day.

On monday I had another nice shift and also when I picked up the mail I got another birthday card and letters from the bank. Now I have my debit card. YAY! Me and claire were going to play tennis but since it was raining lots we decided not to. We saw Vicky and then we all went to Vista Bank to cash our paychecks. It was raining so much and we got soaked walking from the bus to the bank. Then when we were finished at the bank we looked round company D hoping that it might stop raining. But it didn't so we got even wetter going over to property control and cast connection. But it was worth it because I got a winnie the pooh for $5 because his stitching in his arm had come undone. So I can sow that up. In cast connection I got a Tshirt and some postcards. Then I went back home to change out of the wet clothes before going off to work.

Sunday 28 October 2007

Animal Kingdom!

On sunday 21st october we went to animal kingdom in the morning before going to work in the afternoon. At animal kingdom we went got fastpass for everest and went on dinosaur. We also saw the nemo and lion king shows. The nemo show was ok but the lion king is definately better. Everest was good but i'm sure the yeti isn't as visible as it used to be. We ate at pizzafari which was nice. I had a chicken parmesan sandwich. Oh and the breadsticks were lovely. Then I went off to work until 2:30am. It was my first time closing and it's not difficult but it's really boring once we have closed. It's basically lots of tidying and stocking ready for the morning.

On monday 22nd october me and charlotte went to the premium outlets. We had to walk a long way from chatham to the outlets because the short cut has closed since I left. We both bought sketchers and then we walked back to the commons. We worked out the both routes take about the same amount of time. Then it was off to work again for another late shift. I did get a locker in the main street area which is good. I can keep my lunch in there.

On tuesday 23rd october I was working late again. I didn't start until 8pm. But I got an ER and got to go home early which was nice even if it was only by 20 mins. I was supposed to be stocking but I was put on registers. I would have liked to stock for a change.

On wednesday 24th october I went to walmart in the morning with claire. I got a clothes dryer so I don't have to keep paying $1 to dry my clothes. Then I went to the vista bank before work to cash my paycheck. After waiting for ages. They had to put $10 into my account so I only got $40 :( Then I had to rush to get ready for work. I made it just in time. Less than a minute to spare. I was on registers as usual.

Tuesday 23 October 2007

Off to UCF!

On friday we all went to the University of Central Florida Rosen College campus for registration. So we got the bus to UCF. First we were given lunch which was alright but not that nice. Then we got our registration packs which contained the classes we would be taking. I'm taking Theme Park Management and Guest Service Management. Then we had to queue to pay the tuition fees. This took ages as there were only 2 people doing this. So after a while we were told to all go into a room for a presentation even though we had't paid yet. The presentation explained about UCF and the classes. Then we had a break where some more of us paid our fees. Me and Vicky managed to pay but the others haven't yet. Then we went back for another presentation about how to behave in class. One rule is that you must remain concsious which means no dozing, sleeping and meditating. We all thought this was really funny. Then it was time to go back to Vista. In the evening a group of us went to Magic Kingdom. We went on splash mountain and got the funny photo. We also went on Country Bear Jamboore which was so boring.

On saturday we were back at UCF for the first day of classes. In the morning was Theme Park Management with Vicky. We had to introduce ourselves and then we were put into groups where we had a budget and we had to plan a family holiday in orlando. Our budget was pretty low at $2,500. After that it was lunch which was exactly the same as fridays. Not good. Then in the afternoon I had Guest Service Management with Becky and James. We didn't really do much except introduce ourselves. It was funny though because the teacher didn't understand that we were all graduates. I was so jealous of the people taking the wine class because all they did was drink wine and they didn't even have to pay the $100. Then we went back to Vista Way to get ready for drinking round the world at Epcot. We had a drink in my apartment before going to Epcot. We drank at quite a few places and bought silly hats (Kirstys idea). Then me, Vicky and Charlotte went to the Magic Kingdom. Charlotte met up with her family and me and Vicky went on a few rides.

Sunday 21 October 2007

More training!

On tuesday it was the final day of training so we pretty much knew what we were doing. We spent most of the time on the registers and we had to do a written assessment to make sure we know what we are doing.

On wednesday it was my first day without the trainer. It went alright. The main thing I have trouble with is where everything is. Because the emporium is so huge it's difficult to remember where everything is.

Thursday was a late shift because it was mickey's not so scary halloween party. It was good because I got to watch the parade and saw jack sparrow. It's weird working the parties though because it gets really quiet when the parade and firework are on. But then it get really busy.

Wednesday 17 October 2007

On the job training starts!

Sunday was the first day on training at the Emporium. First the trainer was late so when we clocked in our time had to be changed. After a lot of waiting around we walked through the tunnels and were shown were everything is. We walked down main street and were shown where stuff was. This seemed to take ages and was pretty boring. Then we went on the computers to do training but I had already done it all so I just looked around the Hub. Once everyone was finished we went upstairs to learn about polices and proceedures with Anna the manager. She was nice and some of the points system has changed so everytime you call in sick you get 1 point. Then we went down to the Emporium and did some stuff on the registers. But since there were 5 of us it was a bit crowded and we didn't learn much. Then it was time to go home. I didn't do much when I got in. Just looked on the internet.

Monday was the second day of training. This time Aerial and Vanessa's trainer was there so it was only 3 of us with our trainer Sally. We mainly worked on the registers which was nice and it was pretty easy to remember. Nothing exciting really happened but it was pretty busy so the day went fast. When it came time to leave we were too busy and noone came to take over so we all had to extend by 20 minutes. It was a bit annoying but i'll get paid a bit more. Then came home and went to bed even though it was pretty early noone was around.

Early morning training on my birthday!

On friday it was my birthday but I had to get up really early to go to merchandise training at disney university. The first couple of hours were listening about guest service etc. Then we di training on the computers which showed up how to do all the transactions we would need to do. It was pretty easy but boring especially as I wasn't feeling very well. I think Epcot gave me food poisoning. Then the rest of the day I rested and went to walmart. I got some stomach tablets which helped me feel a bit better. After that I had an early night.

Saturday was another day off. I went to MGM studios with Kirsty and Claire. It was lots of fun going on rock n rollercoaster and tower of terror. The shows were great as well. We saw beauty and the beast and fantasmic. We ate at the sci fi dine in which is cool because inside you sit in cars and there is a screen showing films like a drive in cinema. The food was good although i'm getting fed up of burgers. On the way home we saw Andy, James and Charlotte. I found out that James was working in the Emporium too so that should be fun.

Sunday 14 October 2007

Getting paid!

On wednesday I had traditions at 8am which meant getting up really early. We got our Disney ID and nametag. Traditions was pretty much the same as before with the task of naming as many characters as possible. I got a winnie the pooh prize for being chosen as our team captain. Then we learnt the timeline of the walt disney company. We also watched videos about safety and harrasment etc. They were pretty boring and the same ones I had already seen. But at least we were getting paid for it. Then I went back to the apartment for the afternoon while some of the others had traditions in the afternoon. But then in the evening we went to Epcot and got some food in China. Then we went on Maelstrom and watched Illuminations. Illuminations was great but the globe didn't open. So then we went back home to bed.

Thursday was my day off. YAY! The reason I got the day off was because I had already done the once upon a dream tour of the magic kingdom. So I went to Epcot with Claire. We got fastpass for soarin and went on The Land and Nemo rides which were good. Although on Nemo the person in the car next to us kept taking photos every second so the flashes were really annoying. Then we got on the friendship to the Yacht and Beach Resort which is where Claire will be working. We had a little look round and then we walked back to Epcot. We went on soarin and then ate at Seasons. After that we went on Ellen's Energy adventure before going back home. In the evening we met up and went to Benningans for some food and drinks. It was really nice. I had these really cute mini chicken burgers. Then we got the bus to Pleasure Island. PI was good but a lot of people were tired. But they stayed until midnight for my birthday. We got home about 2am and went to sleep.

Friday 12 October 2007

More meetings!

Tuesday was similar to monday with talks but this time about laws and bank accounts. I opened an account with Vista Federal Credit Union. I have a savings and checking account so I will get a debit card. Then we had lunch and in the afternoon we went round desks again but this time we found out where we were working. I will be working in Magic Kingdom again which i'm happy about but i'm working in the Emporium which i'm not so sure about. Then we met with the trainers to find out more information. I found out that I would have traditions early the next day and then a day off because i've already done the magic kingdom tour day. Yay! Because we received our passes we decided to go to magic kingdom in the evening. We went on a few rides including Philhamagic and space mountain which was great. I love those rides. We also ate at Peco's Bill which was alright. Just burger and chips really. Then we watched wishes which brought a tear to my eye and went home.

Meeting etc.

On monday it was an early start and we got the bus to the commons. We got a free breakfast. Then we had welcome talks and housing talks which were pretty boring but I guess we need to know it. Next was lunch and we went to Chick-fil-A which was ok but not great. Then in the afternoon we had to meet and go to a series of desks for different things like payroll and housing id. Then we had the rest of the afternoon so we decided to go to walmart. We bought loads of stuff and got a taxi back in the end. In the evening we went to Downtown Disney to the Earl of Sandwich for some food. It was lovely especially as we were starving. We had a quick look around the world of disney and caught the bus back to Vista. By this time it was bedtime and I had no trouble sleeping at all.

Wednesday 10 October 2007

I'm here at last!

So on sunday I got to the airport, checked in and then had some breakfast. After that I went through security which took a while and met up with a group of people on my flight. So after lots of excited chatting we got on the plane. The flight was very long and my tv didn't have sound so I couldn't watch any of the films. The food wasn't too bad for airplane food. Then we finally landed but it was raining :( so we got off the plane and headed for passport control. We waited in line for ages and then when I got there I had to go off to a room where all the people on the program were. We were all wondering what was going on but in the end it seemed like the just needed more time to check our passports. Some people got called into a room and I was one of then but the man hardly asked anything on about 3 questions. After I got my passport back I went to collect my bags and they were already waiting for me because it took so long. Then we had to go through a bag security point and then put our bags on another conveyer belt so that they would go through to the main terminal. We got the shuttle and went to find our bags. Again this took a long time but we got them and went to the international programs desk where we got a pack of informations saying where we would be living etc. I'm living in Vista Way. We got on the bus to Vista Way and I found my apartment. After dragging my suitcases up the stairs I got to the apartment and met my housemates, Flavia, Elisa and Ying. They are nice and we decided to go to Walmart but there were no buses running so we couldn't. So we went to bed but even after such a tiring day I couldn't sleep.

Friday 5 October 2007

Only 2 days to go!

It's getting so close. I can't sleep at the moment i'm too excited. Today is my early birthday because I will be in florida for my actual birthday. Tonight will be a birthday tea at home and then going out for drinks in town with row. So should be a fun night. My dad decided that it would be better to stay in a hotel the night before I leave so that we don't have to get up so early.

Tuesday 2 October 2007

5 days until I leave :)

So now it's less than a week I'm getting so excited. I have packed most of my stuff and just need to get a few things sorted. I'm worried that I won't have enough to pay the $2000 tuition fees. I've spent a lot recently meeting up with people etc. Also yesterday I got an email from Yummy Jobs saying good luck and giving some important info for when we arrive.

Today I recieved an email from disney with information about all the important documents to bring and what to do once we are at the airport etc. Most of it I already new but this time instead of waiting for people from disney to find us they have a welcome desk. Also today I got a text saying that my passport should be delivered tomorrow.

Wednesday 26 September 2007

A long boring day!

Yesterday I had my visa appointment in London. So I got the train to Liverpool street and then the tube to Bond street. From there it was a short walk to the American Embassy and I didn't get lost like last year. So the first person checked my documents and then the second person checked my passport. He looked at it for ages so that was a bit scary. Then I went through security and then took my keys because they have a flashing light on them. So I got given a locker number. Then I continued to the next person who scanned my documents and gave me a number. Then I sat for ages waiting for my number to be called out. Eventually it was and I went to the window where they looked at my documents and made sure I had everything. Then they scanned my fingerprints. After that I sat back down to wait for my number to be called again. I had to fill in a sheet of paper with my address so that they can return my passport. This is when I met Sophie who is also going to disney on the 7th. She's really nice and this made the second part go a bit quicker. We were some of the last people in the embassy and finally our numbers were called. So when I went up to the window it was just to say that my visa had been approved. Then I had to queue to pay the postage of my visa. After that I said goodbye to Sophie and she's on my flight so i'll see her in a week and a half. Then I picked up my keys and left to go home. In the end it took about 3 hours but at least it's done and i'll be going soon :)

Tuesday 25 September 2007

A quiet couple of weeks!

Nothing much has really happened since i've been back in cambridge. I recieved my package from disney/UCF with all the stuff I need for my visa. Other than that I have been filling in forms and paying money. Today is my visa interview and hopefully everything will go smoothly but today will involve a lot of waiting.

Monday 10 September 2007

Goodbye thorpe park!

Yesterday was my last day of work at thorpe park which was a bit sad. It wasn't the best day either. I wasn't feeling so great because we went to the pub the night before. The morning was fine though nothing much unusual. Then we went down to admissions after lunch to pick up their bags. Nick and Josh helped carry them back although i'm sure they carried less than me and Dhara. Nevermind! The problems came when we were trying to balance in the afternoon. First of all we found out that something hadn't been put on the board but then we were still £500 short. It took us over half an hour to realise that it had been miss counted mainly due to Anitta. So we ended up leaving 20 mins late. It would happen on my last day wouldn't it. So after that me, Nicole and Dhara went to buy stuff for the BBQ. Was a good night although I was very tired.

Today I went to Thorpe Park for a change lol. Me, Nicole and her boyfriend went. It was so nice because it was quiet we went on most of the rides. Now the packing has to begin :(

Saturday 8 September 2007

Boring!

This week has been pretty boring because the schools have now gone back and Thorpe Park is empty. We have spent hours counting coins and cleaning the office. On thursday though Karen broke the coin wrapper so now we have to count all the coins by hand which is not fun.e

Yesterday I met up with Clare in Oxford Street. We spent a long time in topshop before going to lunch at Garfunkels. Garfunkels was horrible we waited for ages and the food was not good. But after that we did some more shopping before going to the Ice Bar. The Ice Bar was nice although cold. You get a cloak and some gloves but after a while it gets cold. You also get a cocktail in a glass made of ice which is cool but it melts as you drink it.

Today at work they gave me a card and a cake. The cake is lovely and so chocolately. I can't believe it's my last day tomorrow.

A long week!

So this week I worked 6 days. After going to Thorpe Park yet again on my day off i'm now exhausted and really looking forward to my day off tomorrow. This week has been pretty normal although at the weekend I had to say goodbye to Robert because he has next weekend off. It just makes me sad to realise that i'm leaving soon. Today there were only 4 of us in the office which was a bit strange because there have been 5 of us for ages.

As for disney stuff. I should be receiving my visa forms and stuff soon. Yummy jobs sent and email saying they were on there way. Although I think mine will be late because I had to resend all my forms.

Nothing Exciting to update!

Basically work has been pretty much the same although it was once again obvious that when Anitta is at work things go wrong. But other than that the park was busy because it was the bank holiday weekend. There were 17,000 people in the park on sunday. But today is my day off and i'm going to meet my friends from cambridge at thorpe park.

Hungover!

Well first during the day I met up with Rowena in London and we went to madame tussuads. Even though I had been a few weeks ago they had some new waxworks of Keira Knightly and Leonardo Dicaprio. Thet had also moved some of them around. After that we went to Chinatown for lunch and then we went to Oxford street.

So last night me, Nicole and Dhara went to Staines for the night. I was a great night even though Dhara was so late. We drank so much though which meant that at work today I was so hungover. Lucky Nicole had the day off but me and Dhara had to work. It was a bit of slow day because we felt so horrible. The excitment of the day was when we found a lost child and had to take them to the medical centre. Dhara was a bit anxious though because we were carrying money. Anyway hopefully the kid found his family. Apparently they kept sending messages out on the radio looking for him.

Getting everything sorted again!

So sunday and monday I sorted out everything I needed to send to Yummy jobs. I had to send everything by special delivery again which cost lots. But at least now its sorted. Also on monday I talked to Jessica from the Arcadia Group because I sent in an application for their graduate program in distribution. I did actually send the application in by accident so it's not very good. Anyway I have an interview on the 12th September. And last night I took the online test which I don't think went very well. I don't really mind though because I don't think I'll get the job and I don't mind.

Work has still been pretty slow because of the weather. But on monday night everyone at work went into the park for the evening. We went on loggers leap first and Nicole was supposed to go in the front but then when we got there she sat in the back so Karen wasn't very happy. Then we went on a few more rides before going on Tidal Wave. Big mistake! Me and Nicole got soaked and since the weather wasn't great we were cold. Then we went to the Glasshouse for some food. The food was good and then we went on some of the games in the arcade before going home.

So today I got an email from Yummy jobs giving some useful facts about America and Florida. Also some information about visas, flights and insurance.

Saturday 18 August 2007

Little update!

So this week i've been working and I don't think much has really happened. It's been pretty quiet because the weather hasn't been so good. Anitta has been annoying everyone as usual.

On tuesday I had the day off and then in the evening I went out in Richmond with my housemates. We ate at Pizzeria Rustica which was alright. It's a nice little place but the food was pretty average. We managed to get through 4 bottles of wine although that was mainly because Jessie ordered another 2 possibly by accident. This meant that the bill was really huge. Overall it was a good night but Jessie got really drunk.

Yesterday I got an email from Yummy jobs saying that they had lost my forms so I need to send them again. I can't believe it. Very annoying. So now I am filling out the forms again and am supposed to fax them to yummy jobs. But not having a fax machine available makes this a bit difficult.

Also yesterday I accidentally applied for a job at Arcadia in Distribution and the woman has been trying to contact me. I'm so suprised since I didn't even attach the right covering letter. But I think I will ring her back anyway and see.

Thorpe Park Visit!

So yesterday on my way out of work I finally got my dream ticket. This means that I can get into the Tussauds Group attractions for free. I get 20 tickets although I doubt I will use them in the month I have left working there.

Today I went to Thorpe Park with John and Jemma. We got there at about 11am and it was pretty busy. There was a big queue to get in but I saw Penny who works in admissions and she said that with the dream ticket you just go up to the gate and they will let you in. So that was cool. We went on Nemesis, Colossus and Stealth. It was the first time that I'd been on Stealth and it was so much fun. Unfortunately Jemma isn't a fan of rollercoasters and rides so she sat reading a book for a lot of the time. But we managed to get her on the rumba rapids. So at about 5pm we decided to leave mainly because Jemma was tired. But thats nothing unusual. The park was pretty busy but it was a fun day.

Saturday 11 August 2007

Visa Appointment Booked!

So I got an email from yummy jobs saying that I should book my visa appointment. So I rang up the embassy and now have my appointment on 18th September at 2pm. There are a couple of people from the program going at this time as well. So hopefully I will be able to meet up with them and the 4 hours wait won't be so bad. It's so exciting that everything is finally getting sorted.

Work at Thorpe Park is going well. There haven't been any major problems so thats really nice. The park has been fairly busy and we've been doing cash lifts which are nice because it's good to get out of the office into the sun. However today I did cash lifts with Anitta which was not fun. She doesn't know her way around the park and when it comes to doing the actual cash lifts she was all over the place leaving the bag open on the side. Also today I had my review with Karen and she was really nice. Now I have handed in my form for my dream ticket and will hopefully get it tomorrow so that I can use it on monday.

UCF courses!

Today I got an email from disney international recruitment with the selection of courses at UCF. I will be taking 4 courses over the 6 months. 2 start in october and 2 start in january. The courses are as follows:

Guest Service Management - This seminar is created to develop an appreciation for, and an understanding of, customer behavior in hospitality organizations. Since all managers in all organizations have internal and external guests or customers, the focus of this course is on how guests think, respond, and behave in response to organizational decisions. Guestology is the scientific study of guests needs, wants and behaviors.

Theme Park Management – A seminar designed to be an overview of the Theme Park and Attraction business. The program will explore the vast array of Parks that fall under this category so that by the completion the participant has a firm understanding of the for profit park system and the guest allure to them. By the end of the course we will be able to define and understand the concepts of themeing and identify the economic impact and tourism value that this industry brings to a community.

Hospitality Brand Management – The most important asset of a company is its reputation. This reputation embodies many things, including its name, the products it sells, the services it supplies to its customers, and its convenient locations. But there are many more, intangible things, which also build this reputation. All of these things, together, can be called the company’s Brand. How hospitality companies create, maintain, and occasionally destroy, their brand value will be the focus of this course.
At the seminar’s end students will have achieved an awareness of the importance of protecting a company’s brand equity. They will possess a set of skills intended to make them better prepared for a successful career in the corporate hospitality environment.

Food & Beverage Operations in the Hospitality Industry – The intent of this seminar is to provide the participant with a firm understanding of the contribution that food & beverage operations make to the hospitality industry. The scope of the lessons will include free standing restaurants, hotel food & beverage operations (including catering & banquets), as well as food & beverage operations in theme parks.

Information Technology and E-commerce in Hospitality and Tourism -- This course is designed to cover topics related to: (1) concepts of information systems in hospitality and tourism; (2) fundamental principles of communication networks in hospitality/tourism; (3) online consumer behavior and e-commerce in hospitality/tourism; and, (4) future direction of technology development and technology strategies in hospitality/tourism.

Leadership and Strategic Management -- This course focuses on principles of contemporary leadership and strategic management for hospitality and tourism organizations. It introduces leadership and strategic management concepts and perspectives into the hospitality and tourism field. The course particularly emphasizes the development of analytical, decision making, problem-solving and communication skills.

Event Management -- This course considers how organizations use events to achieve their strategic goals and objectives. It includes an introduction to the different types of organizations that produce events, the types of events that are held, the planning process, and evaluation tools. Also, students will learn about the businesses that provide facilities, goods, and services for events.

Survey of Wines of the World* -- This is a very interactive and great way to do something a little bit different!! A comprehensive study of wine for students that want to learn about using senses to evaluate wines, the methodology of tasting and evaluating wines, and growing, processing, and production of grape varieties used in making wine.
*Additional $100 lab fee

I had to email back with my top 6 choices which were:
1. Theme Park Management
2. Events Management
3. Guest Services Management
4. Leadership and Strategic Management
5. Food and Beverage operations in the hospitality industry
6. Information technology and e-commerce in hospitality and tourism

I really hope I get my top 3 choices but the others sound interesting too.

Anyway other than that i'm feeling much better now and worked today.

Monday 6 August 2007

Not good :(

Yesterday was another busy day. It was really hot so the park was really busy. At midday we tried to balance and it went very wrong. I was counting the trolley but people kept coming in for change. This meant it went wrong. So when Karen came to ask if it balanced then I asked if I should start again. She said I don't think you are taking this seriously. Go to lunch. This really annoyed me because of course I take it seriously and to be fair I didn't know at the time how wrong we were. So I stormed out and went to lunch. I'm sure she probably thought that I was to blame for it being wrong. But when we came back from lunch she was back to being normal which I thought was really weird. So I was happy when me and Nicole went to do cash lifts. It was so nice to be out of the office. Anyway Una had called in sick so we were missing a person which didn't help.

Today I woke up at 3am with really swollen glands. I was worried that it was mumps but I don't think it is anymore. It was really painful and I couldn't eat. Luckily through the day my glands have gone down and i'm feeling better now. However I did find out that Una was fired today. Apparently her paperwork was illegal and she's not allowed to work in this country. It was a bit of a suprise and means that we will be one person short and very busy for the rest of august.

Saturday 4 August 2007

Busy today!

The past couple of days have been really nice and sunny so the park is very busy. Thursday was an OK day although I overheard Anitta moaning about Nicole behind her back which wasn't good especially as she is the team leader. Nicole was off that day so I let her know on Friday. We also had loads of coins delivered from the bank and had to put them all in the vault. There are very very heavy and my arms were aching afterwards. Una also hurt her back carrying them.

Friday was pretty normal except Virgin Radio were filming a live show in the dome. This didn't really make any difference to us though.

Today was a bit of a mess really. At least Anitta wasn't in charge. First the floats went a bit wrong and then one of the admissions pods got stuck. Also we didn't get the bags from admissions until really late so we rushed to put everything on the system. Also Una went home at midday because her back was hurting. So one less person to help. I think she will probably be off tomorrow because she looked in pain.

As for disney, I got my criminal background check back. Not very exciting but there no other news from disney. Hopefully I will get to book my visa appointment soon.

Thursday 2 August 2007

Madame Tussauds!

After 2 days of from work I was really excited about going to Madame Tussauds with everyone from work. So I walked to the train station which took longer than I thought it would so I missed the first train. It didn't really matter though because I got to Waterloo half an hour before everyone else. So once they arrive we got on the tube to madame tussauds. It was Nicoles first time in London and with it being rush hour she was not impressed. But once we got there it was so much fun. Me, Nicole and Robert went in their version of the big brother diary room. This was so much fun although really embarassing because they made us do the YMCA. There were lots of new wax works since I hadn't been for about 7 years. After that it was the torture/dungeon section. Most of us except Dhara and Robert went throught the live show which involved lots of people jumping out at us in a dark room and running after us. It was so scary but funny at the same time. I don't think I would go in there again. Then we went into the part which used to be the planetarium and now they show a little film which is meant for kids but was alright. After another room of waxworks we left and went to weatherspoons for some food. Then it was time to go home after a wonderful night.

Monday 30 July 2007

Night out but then work!

So friday night was my night out in Staines with Nicole. In the end I decided to drive because it would be so much easier than trying to work the buses out. This of course meant that I couldn't drink very much. We met some interesting (strange) people but it was a great night overall.

Saturday and sunday I was working. And it was Anitta in charge both days. Funny though out of the 4 others working, 3 of us don't like Anitta. But work was fine there was a fire alarm on sunday which was probably due to the canteen burning food.

Today Karen was back which was nice and she has sorted it so that I have 29th Aug off work. Yay! This means that Siona, Jemma, Holly and Sarah can come and visit. We are planning to go to Thorpe Park which will be lots of fun. Other than another fire alarm nothing happened.

Tuesday and Wednesday are my days off this week and on wednesday there is a party at Madame Tussauds which a group of us at work are planning on going to. Really excited about this.

Friday 27 July 2007

Still training....

Well work has been pretty good this week until yesterday. I haven't really made any mistakes and working quite hard even though i'm not well at the moment. But then yesterday Anitta was working again. So of course the balance was wrong because she did something stupid. There were also lots of people working so we finished really early. So Anitta went through how my training was going. So for some reason she thinks that I can't give change and that I can't do the balance. This is probably because it went a bit wrong on monday but since then its been fine. And about the change. I haven't had any problems with that but then she is the reason why the trolley balance went up. Shouldn't she still be training then. Anyway next week I will meet with Karen who is the manager and hopefully get my dream ticket so I can go to the parks and attractions.

Anyway today is my day off and tonight i'm going out.

Tuesday 24 July 2007

Back to Work!

After a week off it's been nice to go back to work and see everyone again. Anitta worked yesterday which made it not so good because its partly the way she says things that you've done wrong and it seems like she talks down to everyone. Also she makes a lot of mistakes which mean that it takes longer. Now I know everyone makes mistakes and I have made them too but its because she rushes around trying to do everything at once. Rant over. Also yesterday on the way home from work I ran over something in the road and it caused a puncture. So the RAC had to come and change the tyre. Now I can only go 50 mph until I get the tyre repaired.

Today was alright. It was pretty quiet and I got to go home early. I have got a bit of a cold at the moment which isnt great but it could be worse. Also I got an email from yummy jobs asking if I want my email address passed onto the other travelling to Disney in october. Of course I said yes because it would be good to speak to the other going.

Saturday 21 July 2007

Graduation Week!

This week has been good. I've had the week of work so on sunday I drove back to Cambridge. Then on monday I went shopping at Lakeside which was great. I spent lots in the sales though. In the evening I went out to Vodka Revolution in Cambridge. It's really nice to have a good bar in Cambridge now. But I drank a bit too much and was hungover on tuesday. This wasn't good since me and my parents were driving up to Sheffield that day. After feeling sick the whole way to Sheffield we arrived and I picked up my gown and hat. Then in the evening we went to No.1 oriental buffet which was yummy.

Wednesday was my graduation day. The ceremony started at 9:30am but we had to be there early to sit down. It was alright. I didn't trip on my stage but my hand were sore afterwards from all the clapping. Then we went to Interval for a drink with Clare's family but missed the group photo. We weren't the only ones though. But we went over to Firth Court for the buffet lunch and the presentation of the prizes ceremony. Debbie won a prize and Pete won most of the rest. After that my parents dropped me off at John and Jemmas flat.

On thursday we went out for John's birthday to BB's restuarant. It's an italian where you can bring your own wine. The pasta was good but the baileys cheesecake dessert was gorgeous. Then we went for some drinks before going to the union. We didn't stay that late because we were tired. On friday I got the train home but my train was delayed so it took an hour longer than it should have done.

Bad news on thursday was that my car failed it MOT and its not worth repairing it apparently so I don't have a car anymore :(

So now the group doing the same disney program as me are out in Orlando. I haven't heard that much from them but they have been placed in the Treehouses and Chatham. This is a bit strange because I didn't think that people would be put in the treehouses but I guess I don't really mind staying there again.

Friday 13 July 2007

Friday the 13th!

It's been a good week with going to the cinema on wednesday with Jessie, Cat and Omar for orange wednesdays. But Shrek 3 was not good.

Yesterday was my day off and for once I did lots. I went shopping in Kingston which was nice although the shops in Kingston could be better. I also made brownies which are so yummy.

Today was friday the 13th so I was expecting something to go wrong. But nothing major did. There was a fire alarm in the morning and the coin sorter broke for a bit but it could have been worse.

Wednesday 11 July 2007

Why does something always go wrong!

Well its been pretty busy at work but thats usually been because something goes wrong. Yesterday when the pods came down from admissions they weren't all labelled. One also got stuck so we were missing money. Today was fine nothing too bad happened. The pod that got stuck yesterday became unstuck so that was good.

As for disney, yesterday I got an email from disney international recruitment welcoming me which was nice. There was nothing really new in the email but they said they would be contacting me again soon.

Tomorrow is my day off yay!

Sunday 8 July 2007

Disaster night out!

So i've mainly just been working but last night me, Jesse and Cat went out in Camden. Of course we started off by drinking at home and on the train. Everything was going well and we went to a couple of pubs. Next we went to Barfly which was really cool until Jesse got very very wasted. So we got chucked out and while we were sitting on the steps outside someone opened the door onto my finger and it bleed a lot. It still hurts now but it's much better. Once my finger was sorted we decided that we should go home. Since me and Cat didnt know where we were we decided to get a taxi. It's scary though because while we were waiting for a taxi unlicensed taxi kept stopping. Adam thought it would be alright but in the end we got a black cab. It was so expensive though £64!

Finally we were home in the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately I was working so I got about 2 hours sleep. I was so tired today at work but I drank red bull to keep me awake. It was such a busy day at work today because saturday was so nice and sunny. We also had a fire alarm go off which meant that we were even further behind. Anyway it is now bedtime and i'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. Also I got paid today so now I have some money although not enough. Unfortunately I only got paid until the end of june so it's not much but is still exciting.

Tuesday 3 July 2007

Back home for a couple of days!

Work hasn't been particularly interesting except on saturday the admissions department sent pods down with too much money in them so that we couldn't get the money out. In the end Dhara was using pliers and I was holding to pod so that it looked like we were pulling a cracker.

So on sunday I drove back to Cambridge but got stuck in a huge traffic jam. The journey took twice as long as it should have. But it's good to be back and see everyone. Me and Row went to see Oceans 13 at the cinema which was good. And last night I went to the Pub which was so nice because of the smoking ban.

As for disney I sent my forms back and they have recieved them. I also phoned Disney about my social security number and found out that I never got one because there were so many people arriving they didnt have enough time to process them all. This means that I will have to wait to get my tax back though. Also its now only 3 months until I leave for Disney.

Thursday 28 June 2007

Just work really!

Since my last post I have pretty much just been working. It's starting to get busier and the school weeks have started. This means that there are lots of coach loads of kids arriving everyday. I was in HBL yesterday which is always fun even though I have been so tired. I very much looking forward to my day off tomorrow.

Saturday 23 June 2007

Power cut chaos!

Yesterday was my day off and I didn't really do much. It rained most of the day which was so annoying. So yesterday was boring but today was very exciting. It started off normally. I learnt a few new things but then after lunch there was a power cut in the whole of thorpe park and in staines and chertsey as well. There is some safety lighting in the cash office but its a bit dim and there was no light in the safe which meant we had to use torches to put everything away. Over the radio we could hear that there was chaos in the park with people being stuck on rides etc. So they decided to evacuate the park. This meant getting around 8,000 people out of the park at once. This took about 1-2 hours overall but instead of helping we decided to hide in the cash office. That was until the fire alarm went off so the had to go outside. Eventually we went back inside and could hear over the radio that outside the gates there was fighting and a bus window had been smashed. The police were called to try to sort everything out. At about 4 we decided to go home since there wasn't anything we could do until the power came back on. When we got outside there were so many people around waiting for buses and a queue of cars waiting to leave. I gave Nicole a lift home because she would have been waiting for ages for the bus. Overal its been a very eventful day and i'm exhausted.

Thursday 21 June 2007

Getting into the swing of things!

The last two days at work have been so much better. I've been in HBL in the mornings which is really fun because Ian tells lots of jokes. Max is also really nice and friendly. Today they gave me a dinosaur. Generally I know more about what is going on and i've got to know everyone better. Tomorrow is my day off and i'm looking forward to having a lie in.

At home i'm all alone because Jo and Jessie have gone to glastonbury. So it's just me and Gonzo. He is keeping me company though.

Also yesterday I booked my flight to Florida and I also reserved my seat so that i'm sitting near everyone else. It's made disney seem so miuch nearer than it really is.

Tuesday 19 June 2007

First few days!

I had my first day yesterday and was very pleased to find that the drive is only half an hour even though I got lost. I was trained by Anita who probably isn't the best trainer in the world but anyway it was nice to meet everyone. I learnt lots but spent most of the morning using the coin sorter. This takes a long time and is very boring. But then I learnt about making floats and making sure everything balances. We went on lunch to the canteen and then had more money to sort out when we got back.

Today was pretty much the same although there were less coins to sort so that was good. It's still boring but Nicole was working today. I met Nicole on my induction day and we get on well and it was nice to have someone nearer my age to talk to. I learnt some new things today but I was mainly left on my own. I'm still sort of doing the jobs that no one else wants to do but i'm sure it'll get better.

As for disney...... I have found out that I need to ring disney to find out my social security number and hopefully I will be able to book my flight soon. I should get paid in the middle of July so I will try to book it soon. I just hope the prices aren't too high.

Sunday 17 June 2007

Starting work tomorrow!

So yesterday I moved into my new house in west molesey. It's really nice and the girls, Jessie and Jo, are really nice. The cat is lovely and is called Gonzo. I'm really happy that I managed to fit everything in my tiny room. Last night we went to Ikea and had swedish meatballs which were yummy. Then we looked round. Jo bought lots of cool things but I only bought lampshade because mine got battered in the car and I have no money until I get paid.

So tomorrow I start work and i'm so excited. Although I have to get up really early. Hopefully the traffic to Thorpe Park isn't too bad.

Tuesday 12 June 2007

Forms, Forms, Forms!

So I got an email with lots of forms to fill in. They are from UCF and its a request for a visa and financial proof forms. The financial form needs to prove that I have enough money to pay the fees to UCF which at the moment I don't. So i did lots of photocopying to do today.

Saturday 2 June 2007

Excited!

I am very excited even though it is still 4 months until I will be in Florida. More people have been accepted for the program which is great so i'm looking forward to getting to know them a bit before we get there. I joined the facebook group and at the moment there are 10 other people going. Slightly annoying thing I found out that I have to fill in another criminal background check because mine is older than 6 months. Thats another £50 gone. But it'll be worth it in the end.

Wednesday 23 May 2007

Disney Pack!

So today I got my disney pack. The wonderful postman didn't ring the door bell and instead decided to leave a note saying the pack was in the blue bin. But anyway it's pretty much the same as last time with the disney look book saying exactly how I should dress and the disney stickers and luggage tags. There are also instructions for the next stages. I have to have a criminal background check and fax an acceptance letter to disney. So theres lots of filling out forms but i'm really excited.

Sunday 13 May 2007

Waiting!

So i'm still waiting to hear from yummy jobs about the next steps now I have the job. I guess since i'm not leaving until october they are going to wait a while. The other people leaving in July are busy booking flights and getting visas etc. It's so annoying that october is so far away.

On a more positive note. I have found somewhere to live while i'm working at Thorpe Park. It's in West Molesey and it's a really lovely house. 2 girls are living there at the moment along with a cat. I'm really looking forward to moving in.

Monday 2 April 2007

Induction Day!

So I got up very very early to get to Thorpe Park for 8:45 for my induction day. So first I got my name badge from cast services. Then after some waiting around we moved into another room.

We did lots of activities including drawing a picture of your partner and introducing them to everyone. Then we had a break. We also made poem about customers being the heart and soul of Thorpe Park. We were also told about dealing with customers. Then we went to get our uniforms before lunch. They gave us each our locker key and our uniform was inside. The uniform is not great. Black combat trousers and a blue polo shirt. After lunch we did some more activities and got lots of paperwork about health and safety, socials and a handbook. It was a very fun day and we finished at about 1:30.

Then I met Karen who is the manager as well as Nicole who was also at the induction day. She showed us around the office and we met some of the people who work there. They all seem nice and I can't wait to start June. Still need to find somewhere to live though.

Sunday 11 March 2007

I'm going back to disney!

Yes I just got an email saying that i've been accepted. I'm so excited. I will be leaving in October and will come back in April. Once again I will be doing merchandise which is great because I had so much fun last time. I'm suprised that I found out so quickly because last year I waited for weeks.

Tuesday 6 March 2007

Interview Day Again!

So i've just got back from my interview in Birmingham. First we filled in forms etc. I chose to put merchandise as my first choice because I enjoyed it so much last time. Then we watched a presentation which was the same as the one I watched last time except for a few things. Next they scheduled the interviews. Mine was after lunch so I met up with Holly for lunch. At my interview we were interviewed in pairs because there were a lot of people. It was a bit strange and the interview was really short. I think it went alright though. I will have to wait 2-3 weeks until I find out the result. So let the waiting begin.

Monday 5 March 2007

Interview tomorrow :)

So tomorrow is my interview for the Walt Disney World Academic Program. I'm really looking forward to it at the moment although i'm sure i'll be nervous once i'm there. I can't wait to find out more about the program because it's new and no one knows much about it yet. It's gonna be a long day though because I have to catch the train at 7am.

Thursday 22 February 2007

Good News!

Today I got an email from Alexis at Yummy Jobs saying that i'm invited to an interview in Birmingham on 6th March. I am really excited and suprised that I heard so quickly since I don't want to leave until October. But nevermind best to get the interview out of the way.

Wednesday 14 February 2007

Thorpe Park pack arrives!

So today I received my pack of information from Thorpe Park. It has lots of information about the job and contains contracts and other forms. Unfortunately I am missing the health questionnaire form. So i'm going to have to phone them. But anyway lots of forms to fill in now. :)

Tuesday 30 January 2007

I have a job!

Yay! So I got a phone call today and I found out that I got the job at Thorpe Park as a Cash Office Assistant. I'm so excited. I just have to find somewhere to live now. Anyway my induction is on the 2nd April. Then I start work on 18th June for the summer.

Saturday 27 January 2007

Thorpe Park Interview Day!

Well this isn't exactly related to Disney but I need a job over the summer to help pay for flights and stuff for disney. So today I drove all the way from Sheffield to Thorpe park in Surrey. This took about 3 hours each way. So first I had to wait to be called for an interview. Then I moved onto the next stage which was assessment of how you work in a team. We had to balance a brick on paper. It was fun and we actually managed to balance the brick on paper. Next I had another interview for the department I want to work in which is the cash office. So now I have to wait and to find out if I got the job or not.

My first Blog!

Hello everyone! This is my first blog and here I will post all about my disney adventure. In summer 2006 I went to Walt Disney World in Florida on the International College Program. I worked in Magic Kingdom Merchandise in Adventureland. I mainly worked outside in the Florida heat selling the mist fans and glow toys. I had so much fun and met so many great people that I hope I will get to go back soon. So I have applied for the new J1 graduate program. I'm still waiting to hear from Yummy jobs but hopefully I'll have some new soon.
